10 Fabulous Ways To Make Your Ads Sell

10 Killer Ways To Make Your Ad Sell

http://www.JaimeParmis.com

1. Use plenty of examples in your ad copy. This will
allow your whole target audience to understand your
pitch completely.

2. Gain extra credibility by using terms your readers
may not understand, but can follow by explaining them
in simple terms. This will show you're an expert.

3. Reveal how excited you are about the product. You
could use words or a picture of yourself looking very
excited.

4. Tell your target audience you were in their current
position. Next, tell them how your product pulled you
out of that position.

5. Challenge your readers at the end of your ad.
Make a bet with them; if your product doesn't solve
their problem, offer them a free product in return.

6. Get your audience involved in your ad by asking
them questions. They'll automatically want to answer
the questions in their mind.

7. Introduce yourself in your ad copy. Haven't you
ever read an ad copy and wondered half way through it
who is selling the product? It's a big turn off.

8. Start your ad with a story. It draws people right
into your ad and they forget they're being sold to.
You could start with "Once upon a time..."

9. Use less than five points in your ad copy. If you
start revealing too many topics, your readers might
get confused and quit reading.

10. Make your target audience's experience reading
your ad positive. You could educate them or tell a
joke to make them laugh.

3 Best Ways Before Submitting Your Articles To Directories

By: James Parmis
http://www.JaimeParmis.com

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills back.

With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers.

This is why article writing, submissions and publications are also getting popular. There are already many tools that people can use to make the process of distributing their articles more easily. Though this is invaluable in getting the contents more exposure, which is only half of the story.

Let us take a look first at the common mistakes that some people make before submitting their contents to article directories:

1. Confusing the reason to promote the articles with the reason to write them.

In article writing, there are three key benefits why you are promoting them; branding, lead generation and promotion, which are all part of your optimization efforts.

But there is only one reason why you write an article, and that is to inform your audience. If the article is not focused on this primary and most important purpose, it will fail to achieve the three promotion benefits because no one will be interested in reading them.

You need to figure out first how to get people to read what is in your article, then make them click on your resource box. You can achieve this by producing better contents.

2. Failing to maximize the promotional opportunities of article marketing.

You may know already that your articles can help you generate additional links back to your site. But do you know that you can get more visitors and better search engine results from that same articles?

Mention keywords at strategic places. Just be sure not to overdo them. Some are even using anchor texts which is also an effective method. But it is important to know that majority of the directories are not able to support this.

Remember that is not only about the links back to your site. Part of doing well in your article marketing is getting picked up by publishers with a large number of audiences and gaining the ability of leveraging other brands because of the quality of your work. Better search engine results also are great benefits. But these things do not put much money in your pocket.

There are other factors that can turn your article marketing efforts into an opportunity that can boost your earnings. Not just increase the number of visitors to your site. Start out with a plan and see to it that your article will serve the function that you intended it to have.

3. Publishing content that does not help your readers.

Maybe in the process of writing articles, you are thinking that all that is you wanted is links back to your site. And any visitors it can generate are fine.

Guess what?

Not all article banks and directories are going to accept your content automatically. Oftentimes, they have some guidelines and specifications on the articles that they are accepting. You can double the number of sites you can submit to by writing articles that the directories want to share with other people.

All it takes is one publisher with a hundred thousand readers to increase your potential audience overnight. Write the articles that publishers want in their publications if you want your article marketing to work the most effective way for you. This also means you have to obey the standard guidelines, spell checks, researching on a good topic and even hiring a writer to produce a good content on your behalf.

In the end, it is all really a matter of choice on your part. You can start getting a little exposure from increased links back but on a very basic level. Or enjoy massive exposure from a little extra time making quality contents. It will be your choice.

You may not be aware of the fact that an article submitted on directories is not meant to have the same level of exposure as highly-targeted content ones geared on a narrow group of people.

Learn the difference between these two and it will surely help you know what kinds of articles to write and to submit.

Top Qualities of a Home Business Entrepreneur

By: Tal Fighel

Becoming a home business entrepreneur can give you so many advantages and can mean so many nice things. You are not only your own boss, but you have time and freedom to choose to do what ever you want and when ever you want to do it. YOU control your own life and destiny.

Wanting and becoming a home business Entrepreneur is not an overnight thing where you decide that you will quit your job and start making a nice amount of income in your first day in business. One has to start at some point and give his or hers business time to grow and succeed.

When starting out, you have to put in a strong self belief that you will succeed. If you really think and believe that you will make it no matter what, then go ahead and get started. Many people get into a home biz but don't think that they will succeed. That is why so many don't ever start.
They just think about it.

After one has a belief of succeeding, he or she has to be willing to take risks. One has to be emotionally ready for the challenges. If a person is not willing to take risks and does not like to face challenges and over come them, then this person will not succeed in a home business.

Another thing that one must do is to have goals and plans in place every single day. A person needs to know where they are going and what actions they must take in order to accomplish his or hers goals.

A good trait of a home business Entrepreneur is that they have the ability to make their own decisions and they don't allow the negative vibrations and comments of others to influence them.

5 New And Lesser-Known Online Business Ideas

5 New And Lesser-Known Online Business Ideas
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
http://www.JaimeParmis.com

1. Ask people to find a hidden link in your ad copy. If they
find the hidden link tell them they will get a prize or freebie
by clicking on it. This will increase the chance that they will
buy your product or service because they will read your
whole ad copy.

2. Start a members only web site. Tell visitors what's in your
members only site and what it costs to get access. Offer them
a free membership, if, in exchange they link to your web site,
post your banner on their home page or agree to advertise
your web site in their e-zine for a set period of time. Usually
they will agree to the free advertising to save money. This is
a powerful way to get free advertising.

3. Want a popular discussion board? This technique is based on
the number of postings made by any one person. You could
give away a free product or service to any person that posts ten
or more messages on your discussion in a month. It could be a
free e-book, report, e-mail consulting etc. Just keep track of
everyone's postings each month. This could also work for e-mail
discussion lists.

4. Give your visitors an instant article directory. Tell your
visitors they can instantly add a free article directory to
their web site by linking to yours. Just place your ad or banner
ad on top of the article directory for your main product or
service. All those links can add up to a large amount of traffic
for your web site.

5. There a millions of web sites on the internet. Instead of
marketing your web site as a web site. Market it as a free web
book. Design your web site with a title page, table of contents,
chapters, etc. Just place your ad or banner for your product or
service on the top of each web page.

I have read thousands of ad copies online and offline
over my lifetime. I have read excellent ad copies that
made me buy right away and some that may have had
a decent product, but had a poor ad copy that turned
me away.

Now that I am in business, I have written some of my
own ad copies. Some of them have worked, some of
them have bombed. The key is to keep changing and
testing your ad copy, don't just write one and then
stop. I don't have a college degree in copywriting, but
I know to learn from the mistakes and never give up.

Below I've made a list of 42 deadly ad copy sins that
I've made over the years and that you can learn from:

-no compelling headline
-no believable testimonials
-no sub headlines
-no attractive benefits
-no features
-no strong guarantees
-no asking or answering questions
-no proof of benefits offered
-no contact information for questions
-no endorsements
-no conversational writing
-too long of sentences
-no deadline to order
-no free trials
-spelling mistakes
-grammar mistakes
-too light of text
-too dark of background
-ad copy doesn't blend together
-no breaks in ad copy
-no bullets
-ad copy in all CAPS
-few ordering options
-no visual aids
-no comparison to competition
-no reminding of benefits or deadlines
-no information about your business
-no appealing adjectives
-no appealing phrases
-too large of text
-too small of text
-no emotional appeal
-too large of paragraphs
-no story telling
-no underlining or bolding of keywords
-too short of ad copy
-too long of ad copy
-no facts or case studies
-hard to understand jargon
-no free bonuses
-too low of price
-too high of price

Don't get me wrong, not all 42 of my ad copy sins will
apply to each and every ad you write. It is just a list
you can use in the future. If you currently have an ad
copy, compare it to the list right now. Your ad copy
could make or break your sales.

You Cannot Please Everyone

You Can't Please Everyone
by John Colanzi

Are you trying to be all things to all people?

You can't do it.

If you're going to make a living on the Information
Super Highway, or in any venture, you have to decide who
you are.

If your potential customers don't know who you are, how
do you expect them to buy from you?

You can't make a sale to everyone.

You can only sell to those who:

** Want your product.

** Need your product.

** Desire your product.

You may have the ability to sell air conditioners to
Eskimo's. But it's a lot easier to sell them in Florida.

Pick you're niche, dig in and stay the course.

Did you know that GM only sells their products to 2% of the
American population?

Do you think they're making money?

You bet they are!

They target their market and stick with it.

Do you think Eminem promotes his albums in senior centers?

Of course not?

There's a Zen story that illustates this point.

An old man and his grandson are walking down the road with
a mule loaded with their possessions.

As time goes by the young boy can't keep pace. So the old
man puts him on the mule with the possessions.

A stranger mocks the two saying if the youmg boy had any
respect, he'd let the old man ride.

They exchange places and come upon another stranger who says
it's a shame how they're treating their mule.

Hearing this the old man takes a long pole and instructs
the young man to help him carry the mule.

They reach a bridge and as they begin to cross the mule
becomes agitated and everyone falls into the water.

What's the moral?

Once you've set your course, put on blinders and ear plugs
and stay the course.

You can't please everyone!

Online Joint Venture Ideas

Online Joint Venture Ideas

A joint venture is when two or more businesses join together
to work on a project for a set period of time. Doing online
joint ventures can increase your chances of beating your
competition, increasing your sales and profits, saving time
and money, getting valuable referrals, and increasing your
market share. The following are ten online joint venture ideas:

1. A simple joint venture would be exchanging text links or
banners with other related web sites.

2. Share a web site with another business with the same target
market. You both will be marketing and advertising the same
web site which means double the traffic.

3. Exchange testimonials or endorsements for each others
products or services.

4. Combine your products or services together with another
businesses into one big package. You could split the profits.

5. Do you have and product or service that doesn't sell good?
Offer it as a free bonus for another businesses product or
service. In exchange ask for a small portion of the profits.

6. Offer to insert a promotional ad for another business into
your product package. Just ask them in return to do the
same for your business.

7. Trade e-zine or auto-responder ads with similar businesses.

8. Team up with related businesses to create an promotional
e-book to give away. Publish your web site ads in the e-book
then just give it away for free.

9. Host a virtual trade show or seminar with another business.
Include each other's promotional material on the web site.

10. Create a freeware program with another business. Include a
promotional ad for each of your businesses in the program. Submit
it to freeware and freebie sites.

Understanding The Difference Between Marketing & Promotion

Understanding the Difference between Marketing & Promotion
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
http://www.JaimeParmis.com

Are you an online marketer? Or do you simply promote affiliate
programs? Marketing is truly the most misunderstood word in use
today on the Internet. Let me see if I can clarify this issue
just a bit.

In Marketing 101 at your local university, marketing is actually
the process of Product, Place, Price and Promotion.

PRODUCT

No business can exist without a product or service to sell.

In a nutshell, entrepreneurs are the people who believe in a
product, service or idea, so much that they are willing to
invest their lives into the development of their dream.

Historically, every major corporation in the world was started
by an entrepreneur with a dream and the drive to make it a
reality.

However, there comes a time in the life of every corporation
when those who fear the gambling nature of their founder, squash
the entrepreneurial drive that made the company a viable concern
in the first place. The entrepreneur will either submit to the
careful nature of the stockholders, or he will be forced to
leave the company he created.

The only entrepreneurs who withstand the pressure to move more
carefully are those who have maintained majority control over
their companies.

PLACE

In the offline world, place is defined by location. On the
Internet, place is defined by domain name and the web hosting
service chosen.

Both online and offline, place can make or break a company
without respect to the quality and value of the product, service
or idea.

PRICE

Selecting a price is determined first on a basis of whether the
company wants to be seen as a discount or a value company.

Take for example Wal-Mart and Staples.

Wal-Mart is the lead discounter in the marketplace. Staples on
the other hand is the specialist in office supplies.

Both sell a significant number of office supplies despite the
fact that the lowest price can usually be found at Wal-Mart. As
a value dealer, Staples can afford to charge more for their
products than Wal-Mart.

So the question for you is whether you want to position your
company as a discount or value company.

Testing has shown that products and services can be sold at any
number of prices and still reach a significant number of people.

The challenge of selecting the best price for your product or
service will require a certain amount of testing.

UNDERSTANDING THE PRICING EQUATION

Let`s assume we are selling a product. Let us also assume that
we know that the product can be sold for $10 or $50. Let us also
assume that if the price dips below $10 or rises above $50, then
the product sales fall off significantly.

Our challenge is to determine the best rate at which to sell our
product.

Testing has shown us that we can sell 1000 items a week at $10.
Testing has also shown that we can sell 500 items per week at
$50. And testing has shown that we can sell 650 items per week
at $45.

At $10, our projected weekly earnings are $10,000. When we sell
the product at $50, we know that we can earn $25,000 per week.
Most importantly, we know that we can earn $29,250 when our
product is priced at $45.

With the imaginary testing we have done on our imaginary
product, we can easily see that selling our product at $45 per
item will earn us more money over the long haul.

Thus, when we make the decision for a national rollout of our
product, then we will price our product at $45.

Of course, this is a very simplistic analysis of the point I am
trying to make. Though simple, I believe this analogy will help
you understand the methods of developing a product`s prices.

PROMOTION

Promotion, on the other hand, is the process of notifying the
consumers for your product or service of your availability to
serve them.

Methods of promotion vary distinctly and should be arranged to
meet very specific goals.

As with product, place and price, promotion should not be left
to chance. You should test every ad, every media, and every
price point to determine the best bang for your promotional
dollars.

HEADS UP!

If you are an online promoter or marketer, please factor in the
most important element concerning the cost of your promotions.

What element is that? Your time!

Value your time at a certain dollar amount, and figure in your
time into the cost of your promotional accounting.

I say this because too many online promoters lose sight of this
concept and spend 20 hours to generate one sale while using free
advertising. Even if you rate your time at the federal minimum
wage, then you will have invested $105 of your time for one sale
that might only net you a gross sale of $45!

ARE YOU TRULY A MARKETER OR ARE YOU JUST A PROMOTER?

Most people who run a business on the Internet call themselves
marketers. Yet, most of these same people are really just
promoters wrapped in the label of a marketer.

True marketers do not promote without a lot of advance work.
They spend time planning, testing and measuring their actions
and results to get the most out of every dollar spent and earned.

Entrepreneurs finesse the art of marketing as they build their
company into a major enterprise.

If you are a promoter who does not keep an eye on the total
marketing equation, then you are bound to fail.

If you do call yourself a marketer, then do what a professional
marketer does. Make sure that every dollar spent is spent well.
Make sure that every dollar earned is put to good use. Market
well so that when the people of the next generation look at your
life, they will see a fine example of a successful entrepreneur
that they will strive to emulate.

10 Ways To Minimize Your Overhead Cost

10 Effective Ways To Reduce Your Business Costs
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
http://www.JaimeParmis.com

1. Barter
If you have a business you should be bartering goods
and services with other businesses. You should try to
trade for something before you buy it. Barter deals
usually require little or no money.

2. Network
Try networking your business with other businesses.
You could trade leads or mailing lists. This will cut
down on your marketing and advertising costs. You
may also try bartering goods and services with them.

3. Wholesale/Bulk
You'll save money buying your business supplies in
bulk quantities. You could get a membership at a
wholesale warehouse or buy them through a mail
order wholesaler. Buy the supplies you are always
running out of.

4. Free Stuff
You should try visiting the thousands of freebie sites
on the internet before buying your business supplies.
You can find free software, graphics, backgrounds,
online business services etc.

5. Borrow/Rent
Have you ever purchased business equipment you
only needed for a small period of time? You could
have just borrowed the equipment from someone
else or rented the equipment from a "rent-all" store.

6. Online/Offline Auctions
You can find lower prices on business supplies and
equipment at online and offline auctions. I'm not
saying all the time, but before you go pay retail for
these items try bidding on them first.

7. Plan Ahead
Make a list of business supplies or equipment you'll
need in the future. Keep an eye out for stores that
have big sales. Purchase the supplies when they go
on sale before you need them.

8. Used Stuff
If your business equipment and supplies don't need
to be new, buy them used. You can find used items
at yard and garage sales, used stores, used stuff
for sale message boards and newsgroups etc.

9. Negotiate
You should always try negotiate a lower price for
any business equipment or supplies. It doesn't hurt
to try. Pretend you are talking to a salesman at a car
lot.

10. Search
You can always be searching for new suppliers for
your business supplies and equipment. Look for
suppliers with lower prices and better quality. Don't
just be satisfied with a few.

How To Increase Your Online Sales Anytime

How To Increase Your Online Sales Anytime
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
http://www.JaimeParmis.com

Hold a discount sale on your web site. Use the sale to get
rid of excess inventory, gain new or repeat customers, and
increase your sales. Most businesses pick a theme for their
sale, like a Halloween Sale. Below are six unique sales
themes you could use:

Nobody's Visiting Today Sale

Every online business has low visitor and sales day through
the week. My days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. You
could sell your products or services for cheaper to increase
and sales on your slow days. You could have this advertised
right on your web site.

Time Of The Day Sale

Periodically , pick out a time of the day like 5 to 7 pm to
lower your prices. With online sales you need tell people
the time zone. Announce your scheduled times ahead of
time in your e-zine. This will give people enough time to
plan when they will visit your web site.

Product Or Service Of The Day Sale

Each day offer different product or service at a lower price.
This will draw people back to your web site everyday. This
is a high traffic generating sale. If you don't have a lot of
products and services you may want to run the sale weekly
or monthly.

Niche Group Sale

Hold a sale for a niche groups of people. Students, senior
citizens, single people etc. This really works if your
introducing a new product or service for the first time to a
new target audience. Announce your sale in a targeted
e-zine, e-mail discussion groups, message boards, etc.

Holiday Or Seasonal Sale

Offer lower prices on holidays and during seasonal changes.
These type of sales let your visitors and customers know
your no scrooge. Be creative and go as far as decorating
your web site. You could upload holiday and seasonal
graphics. Change the color of your text to match. Get in the
spirit!

Get More For Your Money Sale

Give customers more products or services for their money.
People relate these kind of sales to getting a bargain or
saving money. You could offer a buy one get one for half
off sale, a buy two get the third one free, two for the price
of one sale, etc.

How To Always Be In Demand

How To Always Be In Demand
by John Colanzi

Image if you never had to sell again and opportunities
just fell into your lap.

Does this sound impossible?

Does it sound like a daydream?

Well it's not.

Not if you're a problem solver.

Whether you offer products or services, there's one
thing we all have in common.

We're all in the problem solving business.

Think about it.

Once the word spreads that you're a problem solver,
prospects will beat a path to your door.

Why?

Everyone on this earth has problems.

Once you've developed a reputation for problem solving,
you'll never be idle.

There are more people with problems than you could help
in ten lifetimes.

What's the quickest way to develop a reputation as a
problem solver?

Writing articles.

Once I started writing articles, everything changed.

I went from an unknown, unprofitable marketer, to an
expert problem solver.

Guess what?

You can too.

Once you've launched your article virus, you won't
have to look for opportunity, it will come to you.

Join me in the problem solving business and you'll
never look back.

10 Ways To Impact Your Reader's Buying Decision

10 Ways Web Site Text Can Impact
Your Reader's Buying Decision
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
http://www.JaimeParmis.com

The appearance of your web site text can actually
increase or decrease your sales. The size, font, style
and color of your text can easily affect your reader's
buying decision. Below are ten points to consider
when typing text on your web site.

1. Easy To Read- You want to make it easy for your
visitors to read your text. You don't want to use a light
colored text like yellow on a white background and
you don't want to use dark blue text on a black back-
ground.

2. Create A Mood- You want to use the color of
your text to create a mood for the reader. If you want
to create excitement, use some red text. If you want to
create greed, use a some green text. Use colors that
would put you in a mood to buy your product.

3. Grab Their Attention- You can grab your readers
attention by using headlines. Make the headline more
noticeable by using a different colored headline than
your ad copy. This offsets the headline and pulls the
reader into the rest of your ad copy.

4. Highlight Keywords- You can emphasize phrases
and keywords that are important to your readers. For
instance, use super, deluxe, fast, low price, free, new,
etc. You could use bolding, underlining, italics, color
changing, etc.

5. Sizing It Up- You don't want to use text that is too
small or to large. You want to use larger text for your
headlines and subheadings. You want to use smaller
text for your ad copy. If your grandparents can't read
it, it's too small.

6. Don't Use All CAPS!- You don't want to use all
capital letters in your ad copy. It looks unprofessional
and is hard to read. You may want to use all CAPS
in your headlines to offset it.

7. Font Properly- You want to use a text font that
relates to the product or services your selling. You
don't want to use a comic type font when your selling
business books.

8. Spacing Out- It's important to use spaces properly
when typing your text. You should indent and bullet
key benefits your product or service will give the
reader. Your headlines, subheadings, sentences and
paragraphs should be consistently spaced throughout
your web site.

9. I Need Sunglasses- Don't use all bright text colors
and backgrounds on your web site. It will make your
text hard to read and actually bother your readers'
eyes to the point they just decide to leave your site.

10. Check The Readability- It's important to check
your spelling and grammar before you upload your
web page. When writing an ad copy you're allowed to
break some of those grammar rules to get your point
across.
